While you’ve been snuggled up all winter, our team has been busy beavering away in the great (freezing) British outdoors to bring you some super luxurious glamping additions – and we cannot WAIT to show you them.
Whether you’re a couple looking to indulge in a few nights away or a family with young children looking for the ultimate adventure holiday, we’ve got you covered. Forget Glastonbury, the only camping you want this year is glamping with a hot tub.
So without further ado, here’s a sneak peek at what’s new at Dukeries Retreat for 2023.
New Year, New Yurts
It’s safe to say that the uk glamping game has officially been upped.
2023 welcomes the introduction of our luxury nomadic yurts. These luxurious additions to our UK glamping offering are furnished to a super-luxe standard, each one complete with an elevated decking area, private hot tub and a flickering fire pit.
Lose yourself in the sound of birdsong and bubbles, as this modern take on a traditional Yurt has everything you need to embody nature and comfort.
Each has a super king-size bed, bunks (and/or single beds), a double bed settee and their very own private toilet and shower, mains electricity and water and drainage and heater, which keeps the Yurt toasty on chilly nights.
Perfect for a cosy romantic summer getaway or a naturesque family adventure with all of life’s luxuries.
Play, play another day
We know how much you love bringing your little ones. We also know how hard it is to keep them entertained.
That’s why we’ve built a brand new state-of-the-art play area. Situated in the comfort of the gated retreat, you won’t have to go far to keep the little ones entertained.
Complete with a climbing frame, swings and a slide – your only worry is how you’re going to get them back to the tent in time for a barbie!
Flexing our offering… with yoga classes
This year, we’re committed to upping the game when it comes to wellness.
We’ve partnered with local yogi, Angela Hanrahan, to bring you, twice-weekly yoga classes.
Expert in Hatha Yoga, the traditional yoga of India, Angela has been practicing for over 20 years and encourages people of all ages to take part in her classes.
She says: “Yoga is for everyone. Young old, flexible or stiff, fit or not so fit. I tailor my classes to the people taking part. Everyone can do yoga. It’s always my aim for the people in my class to feel better when they end the class to when they’ve entered.
Yoga is both a mind and body exercise, and you should work at your own pace. Expect exercises to gently stretch the muscles and mobilise the joints, and, for the mind, expect a number of breathing and meditation practices.”
The best bit? The classes come at no extra cost and are included in the price of your stay.
There’s a max of 20 spaces available per class, so make sure you book in advance. Classes are every Saturday from 9am – 10.30am, starting from the 6th May. We’ll shortly be kicking off a Wednesday class – so watch this space.
Yoga mats are provided. No special clothing or footwear is required.
We’re now dog-friendly
You asked, we listened. Since opening, we haven’t been able to accommodate your pups, but for 2023 this has changed!
Your gorgeous pooches are now welcome to stay in two of our dog-friendly nomadic yurts and
one of our bell tents, which we’ve designated for dog owners. Dog-friendly accommodation comes fully equipped with HUGE dog beds and bowls meaning they’ll be sleeping like queens!
To secure your dog-friendly stay, check the availability and make sure you select a ‘dog-friendly’ accommodation option.
Arrive soak ready with our pre-heat your hot tub option
Like previous years, all of our bell tents come with a wood-fired hot tub.
These sudsy tubs take a couple of hours to heat, so this year, we’re offering you the option to have your tub pre-heated ahead of your arrival. Meaning you don’t miss a minute of that precious champagne and soak time.
Pre-heating will be charged at £20 per tub and can be added as an extra when booking. This includes additional logs used for lighting the tub.
Champs on ice
Long drives (or short ones, for that matter!) call for a chilled glass of bubbles on arrival. Just add this as an extra during the booking process; your bubbles will be chilled and sip-ready when you arrive.
